We invite you to support the 21st WONCA World Rural Health Conference.
As a sponsor of the Conference your contribution goes past the financial, the branding presence and the leveraging of credibility. This conference is about people who are living and working in rural and remote communities, where doing more with less is the norm.
This global conference is a unique opportunity to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and forge connections that will strengthen our rural connections across towns, regions, and countries. It is a global platform for systemic change that is most successful when developed and delivered with rangatiratanga and kotahitanga, leadership and togetherness.
Sponsorships play a crucial role in ensuring that health conferences remain impactful, accessible, and beneficial to the broader rural health community. If you support our Conference, your support is another voice that says yes, rural people and rural communities are important and deserve our notice.
Nāku te rourou nāu te rourou, ka ora ai te iwi | With your basket and my basket, the people will thrive future.
I hope you will bring your basket to join ours and others creating a unique offering to our rural health conference attendees.
Ngā mihi nui,
Fiona and Pratyush

At RuralWONCA2026 we would like to establish a Student Hub – a relaxed space for connecting and reflecting. Tākina, our conference venue has a fabulous space for this hub and as a sponsor you can brand this space.
In 2026 we will be running a Student Panel. This panel will feature students from New Zealand and internationally, diverse and inclusive. The panel topic will be agreed on by our health students and expect this to be a lively and interesting panel discussion.
The aim of Rural Seeds is to be a worldwide network that raises awareness and improves the guidance in training for rural practice for people in the early stages of their career development.
One of its main aims is to contribute to the UN17 Sustainable Development Goals, especially goal number 10: “Reduce inequality within and among countries” since inequality in access to health services still persists around the world, particularly in rural areas.
During the RuralWONCA2026 Conference Rural Seeds will be invited to apply for a work/life placement in a rural Practice in New Zealand.
The Placement will be one week in duration with a scheduled to be determined in consultation with the Practice.
On Monday 13th April, each placement will present on their time in New Zealand and at the Conference.
This opportunity is open to Rural Seeds Ambassadors and New Zealand based health students and young doctors.
$5,000 per placement
Investment offsets the cost of transport, accommodation, per diem and Conference Registration fee.
