Approx 1h return. Flat walk. Starting at Tākina, head past the colourful sheds and golden sands of Oriental parade to Point Jerningham.

Discover 22 poetic tributes to this city by the sea; amazing typographical sculptures dotted unexpectedly along Wellington's picturesque waterfront.
Approx 1h loop. Flat walk. Starting at Tākina, meander along the waterfront to find poet 1, and all the way back to poet 22 at Freyberg Beach. Loop through Waitangi Park to finish at Tākina.

Get your heart rate going by heading up the forested slopes of Mt Victoria. Not for the faint-hearted, but you'll be rewarded at the top with panoramic views of the harbour, city and surrounding hills.
Approx 1h15 return. Hill walk. Starting at Tākina, head past Embassy Theatre up Marjoribanks St to Charles Plimmer lookout (approx 25mins), then continue up through the forest on the Mount Victoria Lookout Walkway to the Mount Victoria lookout (further 18mins), then return to Tākina (30mins).
